Nikki Rose Katz, LCSW
Hello! I’m Nikki.
If you are looking for mental health, well-being, and healing, for expansion in your life and for feeling better in the here and now, I’m here for you.
The pressures and ups and downs of navigating a life full of change, conflicts, other people, and responsibility can feel overwhelming and cause so much discomfort! Many symptoms of distress can arise from the daily conditions of modern life. Rapid, repeating, or pressured thoughts, catastrophic thinking, nervousness and tensions that don’t release, sadness, self-doubt, procrastination, lack of motivation, a negative impression of yourself and emotional overload, to name a few, are more common than you think — and you do not have to manage them alone. In therapy with me, I can support you in creating healthy (or heathier) new coping skills. New ways of thinking and being can offer clarity, space, relief, and an inner place to feel relative safety while strengthening your sense of values, voice, and meaning. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 6 years in the field, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with over twenty years of teaching and twenty five years of meditation experience, a Bachelor of Science in Biology who trained octopuses and studied neural growth under a microscope, a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) who has recently completed training and believes in constant training and research, and a life long artist who has shown in galleries and has pieces in private collections, I am uniquely equipped to bring a broad reaching, broad thinking, integrative, and holistic lens to therapy! I’m eclectic, and so is my practice. This means I am well positioned to support your growth with creativity, empathy, and thoughtful grace. I love my work and seeing your life improve — using tools that I believe in!
My focus is supporting adults (22+) manage moods, depression, Persistent Depressive Disorder (PDD), Panic Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), social anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), and body image concerns — all with a trauma informed perspective — so you can thrive in both work and life, at home with family, and wherever this world takes you.
You can be empowered to find balance, foster resilience, and create meaningful and lasting transformation — I believe it is your birthright as a human being. Therapy with me is collaborative, calming, restorative, and sometimes even enjoyable (we try). We work together using skills systems including DBT, CBT, and ACT, and positive psychology and we mindfully explore the past and current dynamics while increasing awareness. Together, we build more effective coping strategies and behaviors, cultivate personal breakthroughs in understanding, deepen mental health education, develop centering techniques, form and establish positive habits, and incorporate breath work.
Explore what life can be when mental health and well-being become a priority with a kind, knowledgable, and patient guide. You are welcome here! 🙂
